"Celebrating the Monogram" was initiated by the new artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière and the executive vice president Delphine Arnault, who explains why they chose the monogram for this project: "It has lived through the brand's countless evolutions, never losing its essence. The leading testament to the fashion house's success, it was only natural that we should pay homage to it."
The task for the designers was to newly interpret the monogram and show some Zeitgeist.
This was Karl's approach - He designed a punching bag and some travel accessoires.

Christian Louboutin obviously was influenced by his red soles and studs, so he created this bag and trolley.
Marc Newson, a product designer also joined in and created these fleece backpacks.
Rei Kawakubo deconstructed the bag, put holes in and hereby shows the inner lining.
This collection is available in selected stores all over the world starting mid of october. At Harrods I got the chance to touch and see them in reality.
