When Cake meets Fashion

When fashion and cakes are combined, this is how it will look like. At the Fashion Afternoon Tea at the Berkeley Hotel you will get exactly that. These Sneakers are made for walking! Today I walked all the way to Soho. I started in Knightsbridge, then walked through Chelsea, Belgravia, Mayfair until I finally arrived in Soho. I love walking through London when it is sunny like today. But the most important requirement to survive the long walk are comfy shoes that makes you walk on clouds -  these Nike Air Sneakers are made for shopping marathons.

#OOTD : Pink with All Black

There is no season for Pink Accessories - it is a colour that you can wear all year round - at least that's what I think. It works with dark colours like black as well as with light or bright summer colours. I love wearing all black lately but with some spots of colour breaking it up. Adding Pink to an outfit is always a good idea, even if it is only pink lipstick. In this case it was more than just pink lips.

Galliano's Debut at Maison Martin Margiela

Today was the comeback of John Galliano who presented his first collection as creative director for Maison Martin Margiela during the London Collection's Men Shows. Since 2011, when Galliano said "I love Hitler" it was very quiet around him but now he returns to the Fashion World and joins Maison Martin Margiela. He seems transformed when you look at the picture above - he looks elegant, classy and mature. Three adjectives that you would not normally use when you describe the appearance of John Galliano. 

The Company which owns Maison Martin Margiela is called "Only the Brave" which has bought several other fashion firms such as Marni and Viktor&Rolf. But let's have a look at the Runway Looks from this afternoon.

Victorias's Secret Show 2014 in London

Last week the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in London for the first time. I was so excited and followed every step of the angels on instagram. Now I will show you the full video, better be quick until it'll be deleted... Get yourself in the party mood with Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.

I love sunglasses - they are like shoes and bags - you simply can't have enough. Last week there was a christmas sale at Chelsea's Beaufort House hosting several London brands like Yolke, Hamilton and Hare, Marina, Blake London and Taylor Morris Eyewear.  

Do we like matching Shoes and Nails?

The answer is YES - we do or at least I do! The only problem is that the Nail Polish by Christian Louboutin is sold out everywhere. It is more like a decoration in the shops because if you lift one up and look for the name it only says : SOLD OUT. I was very disappointed that I did not even get one colour after being in three Boutiques but in the end I was successful after all (in the forth store). I will reveal what colours I got after "Nikolaus". So stay tuned.

There is one more store that I would like to show you. It is just around the corner from Kaviar Gauche and is beautiful. They not only sell their own label, it is a hip concept store that has it all.

If you have a soft spot for jewellery, I promise you that you'll go crazy in this Chelsea Boutique. Butler & Wilson celebrate their 45th anniversary this year, so they have been in the vintage and jewellery business long enough to know what's good. This store will blow your mind.

Gone but not forgotten - a true inspiration

Oscar de la Renta was 82 when his life came to an end yesterday. I am sure he will not be forgotten since he was such an amazing designer and he was an enormous inspiration for the the fashion world. He will live on in his designs. Have a look at his wonderful Gowns . Even if we don't need a dress like this, it is divine to look at them.

Celebrating the LV Monogram

This year is the 160th founding anniversary of the brand Louis Vuitton which they are celebrating by a wonderful collaboration with six fellow designers. All of them including Karl Lagerfeld & Christian Louboutin designed an accessoire and used the famous monogram LV print to celebrate the brand's signature element.

My Portugal "Mitbringsel"

Buying things on vacation is fun because at home you will always remember where you bought it and also have great memories. With these Love Bangles I created some Algarve memories, since I bought it I did not take them off. The neon colors are so bright, they make my skin look even more tanned. And I kind of love everything with "Love" written on it. I am a hopeless romantic when it gets to Love.

Precisely one week after the store opening in Mayfair and I thought I would maybe meet the designer in store.
